Continuing Education Units

To maintain your Therapeutic Recreation certification you must complete 5.0 CEUs before you may renew at the end of your five year term. These CEUs may be earned in multiple ways.

Academic Courses

Academic coursework must be taken at a college or university.

Conferences and Workshops

Professional workshops, conferences, and other formal training programs.

Publications

Publishing articles or editorials, professional editing or textbooks, etc. Must relate to therapeutic recreation.

Presentations

Presenting at professional conferences, workshops, or programs.
